What next for the train of hope team.
Hello, well how do I start? I don’t think we could have
had a better day and we think that’s going to be a hard act to follow!
We need to thank people for making yesterday happen the
way we had always wanted this to happen. It took 13 months to the day to
organise. This could never have been done without the help of so many people.
Many people have already been thanked having logos and
links etc but there are a few people that we think need a special mention as
they don’t really have logos and links. These are in no order, the stewards,
RPIs, Sheila Breeze, Stuart Davidson, Shirley our special cleaner, the drivers
who gave back there earnings to go to the charity.
We are delighted that the Headboard went and blew all
expectations out of the water when it sold for £1100.
So what do we need to do now? Well with the help of Paul
Bigland we have set up a way of purchasing photographs of the day and they are
massively discounted in the hopes you buy more than one.
We have some fantastic items to go on eBay like Cab
rides from Freightliner! You will need to keep calling back to the website to
see when these will be listed. We have a short supply of prints of the original
oil to sell. If anyone is interested we have some souvenir programmes or
posters with the 5 organisers signature on them. Our target is to go over
£40,000 before we present the cheque in December 2011.
A massive thank you to all involved and that’s you for buying
a ticket, donating, helping or just offering advice.
To be updated as things develop.
